We bought our membership with AMR more than a year ago and have not regretted our decision. The staff are extremely helpful and nice. They always have a member of the staff help us choose our site and even help to get our 30 foot camper set up. We love the staff and the fellow campers are always so nice and we have gotten to know some of them who camp a lot like us. Everything is all inclusive too, which is so nice. The only complaint we have is the outside pools are not heated and are always freezing cold even in the middle of the hot Summer months so we don't use the outside pools. We are really hoping they will change that and make it a heated pool so that we can enjoy it too. The store and the little restaurant and ice cream shop are all very reasonable in prices. We love it and will continue to camp here for a very long time.
This is a private camp ground but I love it here.If interested you can camp free for a weekend but sales takes you out to show you around and try to sell a membership to park.They have themed weekends which is great!!!!
Tons of stuff to do, beautiful scenery, tons of friendly people. The food is also great, really enjoyed swimming, put put golf, and the free boats you can borrow. Definitely a great place to camp at, or even just rent a cabin for a weekend.
The place is awesome. Been going there since 1984. The new ownership is very unorganized. I leave message No one returns calls. I get no mail from them or any communication. I love the resort and the members but as for the support staff. It leaves much to be desired.
We bought a membership about a month ago, the only thing that I am disappointed with is the fact that when I asked about a permanent site I was told that they do not sell those right away... That is something that would have worked out for us much more then the in/out type that we are stuck with.. We camp at another place and leave our camper there full time which was all explained to our sales person and at that point I asked again about the permanent site and it was "breezed" over.. Now our only option is to try and sell what we have or spend money to stay in the cabins because we do not have the income to purchase another camper plus pay for storage of that camper! VERY VERY upset about this situation!!! Other then that I have to say it is a very friendly and nice place to camp at. I have met some great people so far... The park is maintained beautifully, as are the facilities.. I would recommend AMR if I was asked in fact I have had guests down to visit and they are happy with the park as well! There are activities for all ages.. We always have a nice time at the resort looking forward to our next trip back!
